JUNIOR ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNER

Marco Giardina Architecture (MGA) is known for its concept and design development of all architectural and interior projects. Successful projects require creative design and effective execution.

MGA is looking to add a JR. Architectural Designer who can establish themselves with a growing and diversified firm offering the potential for future growth opportunities. The successful candidate will work directly with colleagues on projects of all scales.  Primary responsibilities will include supporting the design and planning process for multiple building types and the production and coordination of architectural construction documents under the direction of the project’s leadership.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist our team of architects and designers on retail, commercial and residential projects through all design phases.

  • Contribute to construction document production and administration.

  • Help prepare RFP responses, qualifications packages, or other materials for new business development.

  • Research products, fixtures, and finishes.

  • Conduct site visits or surveys. Travel required; car not needed.

  • Implement the development of preliminary presentations, construction documentation and assisting in construction administration phase work.

  • Work with clients, contractors, and local officials under the direction of the project architect to coordinate construction issues. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is a must.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino, and Sketch Up is also required.

  • 1-3 years of experience in an architectural firm managing or working on commercial interiors, retail, or residential projects.

  • Experience filing construction documents required.

  • An accredited degree in Architecture
